SiSoft Sandra

Sisoft Sandra allows us to target specific components in our system and check their performance in some theoretical tests. The results may not often reflect real world performance but it does give an indication of what each product is theoretically capable of delivering.

On the Intel based systems we can see immediately from the Sisoft Sandra tests that the 610/630 boards perform at a near identical level. The 630 has a slight edge throughout however this appears to be down to the margin of error associated with any benchmark run. The G33 is on par through the arithmetic tests however falls behind on multimedia floating point before showing one of its strengths in the memory bandwidth tests. The performance advantage shown there is due to the dual channel memory available on the G33 based product.

When comparing the XFX GeForce 8200 to the AMD 780G processor performance is similar across both systems but memory performance is a different matter as the XFX board is able to provide significantly higher bandwidth.
