Xiaomi to launch OLED gaming TVs with G-Sync support

Xiaomi will launch its new Mi Oled gaming TV series on August 10.

This new series is clearly thought for gamers considering the technical characteristics. For the moment the brand has not given any other details but has clearly indicated that this series will be equipped with Nvidia’s Gsync technology. And that’s good timing since the chameleon has recently provided an update for large format TVs with integrated G-Sync modules.

Obviously, we’re now getting into speculations but releasing Oled “gaming TVs” today when new consoles can run at 120Hz and the PC even better, implies that these new references will at least have an HDMI 2.1 connector. It goes without saying that 4K will be a basic feature as well as HDR.

Affordable 4K Oled 144Hz?

The key to this product finding its audience is going to be on the rest of its spec sheet. In order to make the solution competitive for hardcore gamers, it will need a particularly low input lag, a frequency capable of at least 120Hz (144Hz would be a plus to exceed the console audience). Xiaomi has already expressed its desire to enter the Western gaming market on several occasions. For the time being, the incursions in our country have been discreet, but the products have interesting characteristics and above all an aggressive price. We’ll have to keep an eye on its parameters during the August 10 announcement.
