Xiaomi unveils 5.7-inch Mi Note

Xiaomi unveils 5.7-inch Mi Note

Since its founding five years ago, Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has rapidly risen from obscurity to become one of the world’s largest mobile device vendors today. Last year, it overtook Samsung in its home market, becoming China’s number one smartphone vendor.

The secret to its success? To put it simply, Xiaomi is a brand focused on value, offering high specs at extremely competitive prices – and its new flagship appears to deliver on this promise perfectly.

As GizChina reports, Xiaomi today unveiled the Mi Note – one device offered in two high-end configurations. The standard Mi Note’s specs include:
•5.7-inch display with Full HD (1920x1080px) resolution and Gorilla Glass 3
•Quad-core 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor
•16GB / 64GB storage
•13MP rear camera with optical image stabilization
•4MP front-facing camera
•3000mAh battery
•?4G LTE support
•Dual-SIM support

Priced at 2,299 CNY (roughly $370 USD) for the 16GB version and 2,799 CNY ($450 USD) for the 64GB model, it will go on sale in Q2. But if the ‘basic’ Mi Note configuration just isn’t enough for you, Xiaomi has got you covered with the ‘Pro’ edition.

The Mi Note Pro shares many of its sibling’s specs, but gets a few significant boosts:
•Display resolution increased to 2K (2560x1440px)
•Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810
•Supports LTE Cat 9 with download speeds of up to 450Mbps
•64GB storage only

Xiaomi has not yet announced availability for the Mi Note Pro, but it has said that it will be priced at 3,299 CNY ($530 USD).
