Xigmatek Tauro 700W Power Supply Review

Overall the build quality of the Tauro is good. We get a solid chassis with no noticeable quality issues and inside a compact, spacious layout. The components used are of a decent standard but it would have been good to see some Nippon capacitors rather than Teapo, or even 105c components to enhance the quality. Design wise we have none of the flash, such as LED fans, that some other manufacturers are going for but we do get some nice, compact cabling which will be easy to hide.

For performance we have a PSU which does well in each test and offers decent electrical, thermal and noise figures. It would be good to see Xigmatek adopt fanless operation at low temperature/load levels to further reduce noise but this is a nice to have rather than an essential.

For value, based on past experience, we expect Xigmatek to be very competitive with the pricing of their Tauro series and will update the scoring as soon as we have an RRP.

A solid value orientated PSU from Xigmatek.
